Telephonic Pediatric Advice Nurse needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Los Altos, CA! ( Onsite ) Top Skills Should You Possess: At least one (1) year of experience in a Pediatrics setting What You’ll Be Doing: Function as a primary liaison between patient and physician via phone; implement the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for assigned patients, providing quality, efficient, and evidence-based care. Provide general education and nursing care to patients via telephone. Respond to and resolve patient and family questions and needs. Triage and schedule patients appropriately, prioritizing emergency cases. Document clinical information accurately, including patient phone calls, test results, and office visits, maintaining compliance with medical standards. Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to treatments to clinicians. Collaborate with physicians to coordinate and integrate patient services. Communicate referral options to community physicians. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, with rotating Saturdays. What You Need to Bring to the Table: Active and unrestricted California RN license. Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelors preferred. Current CPR certification. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience, with previous Pediatrics experience required. Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., Epic) preferred. Knowledge of nursing theory, regulations, and practices. Understanding of safety hazards and precautions. Knowledge of medical charting and record-keeping. Proficiency with computer systems and software relevant to the role. Ability to educate patients and families about disease and care procedures. What’s In It For You?
