The department provides services for Physical Security Operations, Enterprise Investigations, Communication Operations, and Risk Management across the organization. Position Summary The Physical Security Specialist provides oversight and management of guards and contracted security services, performs security assessments and audits on PG&E’s facilities, serves as the main point of contact for all physical security-related issues, and partners with technology solutions and investigation teams for planning, projects, and incident management. Extensive travel is required within the assigned PG&E territory. The qualified candidate will be assigned to support Marin, Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, and Humboldt Counties. The preferred headquarters location can be flexible within Marin, Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and contiguous counties. PG&E provides a salary range that the company believes it might pay for this position at the time of posting. This range is specific to the job location. The actual salary will depend on factors such as skills, education, licenses, experience, market value, location, and internal equity. The successful candidate is estimated to be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, but this will be decided case-by-case. This job is also eligible for PG&E’s discretionary incentive programs. Salary range: Bay Area Minimum: $93,000.00 Bay Area Maximum: $139,000.00 Job Responsibilities Serve as the main liaison for all physical security matters in the assigned area, including the security operations center, law enforcement, and internal/external partners. Partner with CSD Emergency Response Team and support field responses to incidents. Collaborate with CSD Technology Solutions team and business partners to complete security projects requiring integration. Work with external clients such as security vendors and private security organizations to ensure alarms, access controls, and cameras are operational and installed correctly. Coordinate with internal clients, project managers, security operations center, and IT support on various projects. Provide technical support to the Corporate Security Department’s Investigative Unit and Emergency Planning groups. Assess existing security practices and systems, and recommend updates to management. Conduct site surveys and physical security assessments at PG&E facilities. Prepare reports identifying security gaps and recommend security measures. Oversee contracted security personnel and ensure post requirements are met. Ensure safety and security of facilities by assessing vulnerabilities and performing penetration testing. Respond to security incidents and execute appropriate responses. Qualifications Minimum: High School or GED diploma 1 year experience in law enforcement, military, or corporate security CA Class C License or equivalent Ability to pass/maintain NERC/CIP clearance Ability to travel using a company vehicle Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Desired: Authority to carry a concealed weapon as permitted by law Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or similar field Experience in cross-functional communication in a corporate environment 3+ years in critical infrastructure protection or regulated environments 10+ years in security, law enforcement, or physical security 3+ years in project management PMP certification CPP certification ASIS PSP certification #J-18808-Ljbffr Pacific Gas and Electric Company
