The selectee of this position serves as a Physical Security Specialist. This position is located in a United States Marshals Service (USMS) District office. You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist responsible for managing the District security equipment/systems. GS-12 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0080-12 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level of the Federal Service that includes: 1) Inspecting and ensuring the proper installation, function, and maintenance of security equipment; 2) Assessing difficult and complex security problems, including analyzing alternatives to recommend corrective actions; and3) Testing security and screening equipment to evaluate security vulnerabilities.
