Founded in 2009, we are a premier supplier of shipping software for e-commerce sites, selling to both SMB and Enterprise customers. We have 50+ team members spread across the US, UK, Canada, India and Australia. 30+ members are based in Austin, TX. We are seeking an ambitious and self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong collaborative mindset.

Position Overview:

As a Junior Software Development Engineer, you will work on a variety of software development projects, using AI tools to enhance productivity and accelerate development. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers to build and maintain scalable, efficient systems while utilizing AI to assist with various aspects of the development process (e.g., code generation, debugging, documentation). This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain experience across general software development, with an emphasis on leveraging AI to improve development efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the software development team to build scalable, maintainable systems.
  • Use AI tools like ChatGPT and Cursor to assist with coding, debugging, and documentation tasks.
  • Contribute to backend development, system architecture, and full-stack development efforts.
  • Continuously learn and stay up to date with the latest advancements in software development and AI tools.
  • Take direction from senior engineers while contributing your own creative ideas and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • A recent Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of software engineering principles and development practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Ruby.
  • A passion for learning and exploring new technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A natural curiosity and the ability to take initiative in software development projects.

Bonus Points for Experience in:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and development tools.
  • Previous internship or project experience in software development or related fields.
