Under the direction of the Director of Research, Evaluation, and Assessment (DREA), the Education Research and Evaluation Consultant (EREC) serves as the primary data coordinator for the division, leading data analysis, research, and reporting efforts to support continuous improvement of educator performance assessments and program evaluation.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Experience in educational assessment, research, and data analysis.
• Expertise in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS, SQL).
• Experience developing and managing data-sharing agreements and MOUs.
• Knowledge of California educator preparation policies and accreditation systems.
• Experience coordinating large-scale data systems and developing automated reporting processes.
• Strong understanding of data privacy laws, ethical research practices, and compliance regulations.
• Master’s or doctoral degree in Education, Measurement, Psychology, Data Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
