Deans Professional Services, an award-winning staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Chargemaster Coordinator to support the accuracy and compliance of hospital billing systems. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates residing in Texas, offering competitive pay starting at $39 per hour.

Position Summary

As a ChargeMaster Coordinator, you will collaborate with revenue-generating departments to assign and maintain accurate CPT/HCPCS codes, revenue codes, and SIM numbers within the hospital chargemaster. Your work ensures compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations, supporting efficient and accurate billing practices.

Key Responsibilities

Assign appropriate CPT/HCPCS codes to all billable items and services.

Ensure codes match service descriptions and are approved by relevant departments.

Maintain accurate place of service and revenue codes in the EHR.

Assign and manage SIM numbers for new chargemaster entries.

Reconcile additions, deletions, and updates across EHR test and live environments.

Provide updated chargemaster documents to relevant departments.

Maintain detailed documentation for audit purposes.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience

Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding, medical terminology, and billing compliance.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to reconcile data using spreadsheets.

Familiarity with EHR systems and the ability to adapt to different software platforms.

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Typing speed of 35-45 WPM with high accuracy.

Detail-oriented, assertive, and capable of independent decision-making.

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred: Master's degree.
