Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Chief, Hospital Services, the incumbent is responsible for policy formulation and implementation of a Statewide Quality Improvement Division for an integrated behavioral health system in the Department of State Hospitals (DSH); manages the day to day operation of the department’s quality improvement, standards compliance, risk management, enterprise health and safety, emergency preparedness, and audits functions, and represents DSH with the Governor’s Office, the Legislature, other state departments, and various public groups interested in the care and treatment of individuals with complex behavioral health conditions.

This position will be required to travel to the five State Hospitals and headquarters located in Sacramento.

Statement of Qualifications
