This position will have a flexible hybrid work schedule. In office presence at our HQ in Rockville is required 3-4 times a week.

(Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are designated onsite days)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for following the established policies and procedures, performs a broad range of consumer lending service activities as it relates to the consumer loans functions, and maintains such accounts. Provides quality member service to the outsourced Call Center, NIHFCU members, and staff. Ensures prompt and accurate service to credit union membership and compliance with NIHFCU, federal rules, and regulations.

Collateral Management:

  • Manages vehicle title maintenance and weekly report review via the Title Management System (TMS) like Lien releases, State changes, Paper title requests, Duplicate title requests, State corrections/inquiries.
  • Weekly reviews of the full report located on the Dashboard and Reports section of TMS; reaches out to members/dealerships to retrieve missing titles with NIHFCU listed as lienholder 45 days after funding.
  • Forwards accounts over 120 days without title or NIHFCU listed as lienholder to Loss Mitigation.
  • Records NIHFCU as lienholder on funded refinance loans, no more than 30 days after booking.
  • Weekly review the Dealertrack File for accuracy.
  • Responds to inbound calls/emails regarding title matters from members & staff either same day or next business day.
  • Participates in calls and webinars provided by Dealertrack to address concerns and maintains up to date knowledge on state changes.

Collateral Protection Insurance:

  • Submits verification of auto insurance received via mail, fax, and email weekly to State National.
  • Reviews biweekly reports to ensure auto premiums are posed correctly.

Monitor CL email boxes

  • Responds to requests for title support and vehicle loan maintenance. Forwards all other requests to the appropriate person/department. Corrospondence include internal communication, external communication, Consumer Lending Faxes, voicemails on the Consumer Lending line.
  • Reports CUSC – verify memberships for student loans.

Auto Loan maintenance

  • Performs transactions according to specific procedures including skip payment , due date/frequency change , payment reversal and late fee reversal.

Support request :

  • Site draft/live check documents – review documents received from the dealership for accuracy.
  • Online applications - monitor the Workbox message center
  • Audit documentation request – retrieve documents from imaging system and provide documents to internal or external auditors
  • Reports – review monthly activity and make adjustment according to specific procedures.

Quality Assurance/Controls/Operational Integrity:

  • Attends required training and takes initiative to maintain and develop needed knowledge and skill required to maintain effective performance.
  • Ensures that work results and processes comply with relevant laws and with established NIHFCU policies, procedures, and practices.

Consumer Lending and Member Support:

  • Responsible for performing a full range of member service oriented duties and transactions by mail, telephone, e-mail and fax;
  • Supports activities as directed by Management, such as: Entering CUNA claims for GAP, deductible assistance, and debt protection
  • Communicates with members on a proactive basis and respond to their inquiries and requests in a timely and accurate manner according to established service quality standards.

Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have familiarity with titles and experience processing vehicle title work.
  • Experience with working in a financial institution environment and 1-2 years of equivalent experience in the area of auto loans and cosnumer loans processing vehicle title work.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and other software. Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Experience with Corerelation Keystone preferred.

Salary Ranges: $20.91/hr-$26.14/hr; Nonexempt position.
